Do we know anyone in Jackson MS? I am headed there for two and a half weeks for a class. Class meets for 10+ hours a day for 15 days in a row. Yes, even the weekends.
When we embrace the things that are difficult, the things that are difficult have the space for actual change. — Kate Swoboda (from thinksimplenow.com)
Feb 1 weigh in goal of under 300 lbs=met, albeit barely.
New goal for Feb 15 weigh in=295 lbs and to get my junk meal eating under control. I could already be at 295 or less if I wouldn’t eat so poorly all the time.
Becoming Iron: The Choice -
This post is the result of the first thoughts that rushed into my head this morning when the alarm sounded at 5 am. It manifested itself in a matter of 5 minutes but took more than two hours to put into words. I quickly rose from sleep to grab my computer to record it before it was lost.
Because I must have easy access to this.
January 15 weigh in. It seems I haven’t broken back into the 2s yet. I cannot say I am surprised. My diet has not been great and my exercise has been non existent the past week. Dealing with some issues, so I am happy to see that this number has not ballooned even more than it has.
Here’s to one step at a time and looking forward to being out of the 3s on my next weigh in, Feb 1!
If praying is your thing, pray for my wife and I this week. We are scheduled to have our final house inspection for our Foster Parent license on Wednesday. Wow, that is tomorrow! I am scared, not of the inspection but of caring for a child under Foster Care. Regardless, I know I must care for myself to have the strength and ability to care for another. Thank you.
What is the plural for Toyota Prius? The only reason I ask is we just bought 2.
Nice temps outside. I changed my shoes but I kept my work clothes on for this “walk” with my dog. Who says you cannot run in dress clothes? Fastest “run” for me this time around. Two more miles toward my 365 miles/365 days.
Still on track. Still one step at a time.
Cold outside. I think I enjoyed this more than my dog Harry. Walked .5 miles then did unmeasured intervals with very slow running. My legs really felt good with this approach. My mind felt good with no expectations. I wanted to do 1.8 miles to keep me on track for 1 mile per day (365 miles in 2013) but other than that, I had no expectations for this walk. This felt good. I have to keep up this momentum. Soon I can start pushing myself a little farther and a little faster.
For now, one step at a time.
3% incline, mostly walking with 4x1min running intervals at 5.0 mph. Who knew a 1.1 mile treadmill workout could be that hard. I have lost so much fitness over the past 1.5 years. Working smartly to get it back though. One step at a time.
Sit and watch the first half of the Rose Bowl or walk a 5K while watching the first half of the Rose Bowl?
Time to sit and watch the second half of the Rose Bowl.
By the end of 2013 I hope to be able to do a 5K under 30 minutes.
